What was your favorite radio station in high school?
Back in the 1970's most of us were listing to our favorite music on the A.M. dial. 
(Up until the mid 1970's Top 40 / Rock A.M. radio was still king.)

Here is a partial list of A.M. & F.M. Top 40 / Rock stations we listened to.

WSAR -1480  Voted the most listen to station in our junior year. 
  Fall River, MA         The most rock music on the A.M. dial in Southern New England.
WPRO - 63  Big Ange and the "Good Night Line".
  Providence, RI         "The station the reaches the beaches"
WRKO - 68  "Now Radio" and later "The Big 68"
  Boston, MA
WJAR - 920  Vanilla Top 40 radio. 
  Providence, RI       (Big Ange worked here after getting fired from PRO - A.M for smoking pot on the air.)
WNBH - 1340  Vanilla top 40 radio 
  New Bedford, MA
WBRU - 95.5  More rock than a top 40
  Providence, RI
WBZ - 106.7  Great station and tons of music and very few commercials.
  Boston, MA
WVBF - 105.7  Great station...difficult to receive in the New Bedford area.
  Framingham/ Boston, MA
